When we write and share them with ourselves and others we acknowledge the truth of what we lived through. We connect to our inner self, and uncover the strength at the core of who we are while breaking isolation and silence. Writing our story can clear the inner space to see ourselves not just as survivors, but whole and thriving, able to make new choices. We heal the feelings that have long held us back from fully participating in our own lives when we connect the feelings to the story. This is a weekly writing group for all types of survivors; if you have been on the healing journey for some years and feel this is your next step, please call to discuss your readiness. October 5th,2008 I am happy to announce my new private practice. After five years of personal SoulCollage exploration, I am now a trained SoulCollage facilitator and available to work one-to-one with people seeking to learn the psycho-spiritual collage art and writing process of Soul Collage. Please call me for more details (413)219-0569 or to set up an appointment you can learn about the process by going to www.soulcollage.com My Biography: I am a visual, writing and performing artist, working and exhibiting locally and regional for the last fifteen years in the Pioneer Valley. I work in many different mediums and one of my favorite words is "adventure"! I studied Feng Shui and design for many years before going on to develop my spirituality, by studying Architecture, Art History, Zen Buddhism and Taoism. I incorporated Native-American, Goddess & Earth centered traditions into my practice as well. I have learned that creative engagement is spiritual action. My experience facilitating SoulCollage with groups and individuals: I guide groups in ongoing sessions for alternative mental health organizations such as the Recovery Learning Community and Windhorse Integrated Mental Health as well as giving day-long introductory workshops at my art studio. I also work one-on-one with people interested in using SoulCollage to discover or recover their sacred core within. My own work with SoulCollage cards: has been revealing and transformative. I treasure these parts of my SoulSelf coming to light and relish the process at every level; from the search for images, to meditating on the meaning of a particular series of cards, they meet my needs for deep inner work combined with creativity and spirituality.
